Read the quote again,A dream,must be converted into thoughts and later into action,we have finished the dreaming part,now we have already finished thinking about it,it is now time to put this plan into actions,this is what this separate blog on GITAM 360 °,is all about!!!
The above quote,briefly summaries the idea behind,GITAM 360°,exactly a week ago(23rd may,2010)when the parent Blog,lifeatgitamhyd ,got its 7000 Hits,it was decided to make the Students portal announcement and also the idea of GITAM 360 public.
Though the formation of GITAM University Hyderabad Campus(Un official-Students portal) took birth of 18th may,2010,it was vaguely confined to the lifeatgitamhyd (LAGH) team,the moment we went public about both these developments,the response to the Students portal has been some what lukewarm compared to the enormous response to the GITAM 360° project,well it was pretty obvious as we had sneak peaks running on the Facebook Fan Page ,prior to the official announcement of the Students Portal,And the students portal was nearly in the final stage at the time of announcement,and hence the LAGH team isn't excited about the students portal,as the LAGH team hardly has any pivotal role to play in the students portal,and the excitement of the LAGH team with respect to the GITAM 360° project,makes this project of lifeatgitamhyd even more worthwhile.
What is GITAM 360° ??
Okay,we got so carried away,that we forgot to introduce the protagonist of this blog ,GITAM 360°.
GITAM 360°,is a 360° view of the campus of GITAM University Hyderabad, the project is currently in the development stage,end users may never be able to see the finished product,as it is an extremely complicated project, with the current budget(This Blog is not sponsored by the faculty/management of GITAM University Hyderabad,remember ? :P)which has been diverted to the Students Portal,it has put us in a tough spot financially,but we expect to make at least some progress,with the GITAM 360°,if not total progress.
But nevertheless,we will make an attempt and strive to make it possible,if we taste successes we will be jubilant,if we fail,we will still celebrate for having made an attempt.

Project Birth : Concept 23rd,may,2010.
Project execution : 27th,May2010.
Project Budget : Priceless (Come on,time resources everything makes this project simply priceless..:P)
Funding source : Students funded(Not a penny from the management,but we would love to get funds from the management if they are interested)
Project Completion : By 04th,December 2010.(LAGH Anniversary)

Dedicated Blog,but why ?
Yes,this question must be running high on all of your mind,LAGH already runs a “successful”(Are we really ??) blogzine (and obviously controversial :P ), lifeatgitamhyd-a blogzine, Why cant we just have a category called GITAM 360°,and publish the subsequent post in that category ?
A valid question,and we have a valid answer to it,which is extremely simple.
The team of lifeatgitamhyd,wants the GITAM 360° project to stand out,failure or successful,we want the journey of GITAM 360 °,to be recorded in a separate place,to make it unique,we don’t want to carry the baggage of lifeatgitamhyd,as our association with lifeatgitamhyd doesn't just bring in fame,but also the misdoing ,and controversies surrounding it,Which might end up tarnishing the image of the the GITAM 360° project.
And the future of lifeatgitamhyd looks bleak itself,and if for some reason the blogzine will have to shut shop,then GITAM 360°’s journey,goes down with it,true we can back up all the posts and have a new start,but that is a cumbersome process.
The journey to the development of GITAM 360°,should be unique and stand alone,hence the need for a separate dedicated blog.
Why not .BlogSpot.com ?
Why .lifeatgitamhyd.com ?
Now,that is pretty simple,We would like to carry the plus points of lifeatgitamhyd into this project.
We,can host ourselves on BlogSpot,but we consider lifeatgitamhyd as our mother(Its a figure of speech,cruse you pervert heads!!!), hence we want GITAM 360° to be embedded into it,instead of BlogSpot.
P.S:yes,lifeatgitamhyd started out from www.blogspot.com initially, but so did the blog of GITAM 360°,it was initially hosted at www.gitam360.blogspot.com. :)

The logic is simple,this is a special journey and the mention of lifeatgitamhyd is restricted to this post,after this post lifeatgitamhyd’s presence on this Blog will remain oblivious,like a shadow.
